Beginning Wire Wrap Class
Instructor: Marcia Duncan Would you like to learn how to wire wrap? No solder, no glue, no power tools You will leave your first lesson with a piece of jewelry that makes you proud.
Class will cover: -The necessary tools -What to look for in a cabochon -How the stone dictates design -How to accurately measure for wire wrap -The dreaded bail; also known as an artistic opportunity You will be provided with silver filled wire, a properly cut cabochon, and an instructional handout. Loaner tools will be available. If you already have your own tools bring your flush cutter, round nose pliers, pen knife and flat nose pliers. The fee for this class is $70. To be able to ensure personalized attention the class is limited to 5 students, the class will take approximately 2 hours. If needed, we will run longer until everyone is finished. PMC-Silver Clay Classes by LaVerne Christenson Learn the art of Silver Clay. 4 classes: Class 1 would include an overview of metal clay and start of a leaf impression.
Class 2 would finish the leaf impression, firing the first pieces, and begin working with low/fire clay including use of molds, mold material, and texture plates. Class 3 would cover the use of glass and stones with silver clay. Class 4 would finalize all projects and consider avenues of further investigation of silver clay.
